Home Visits

Request for home visits should be made by 10:30 so that the Doctors can plan their work for the rest of the day.  If you have any problems, ask to speak to the Doctor.

Visits after 13:00 Monday to Friday will be handled by SPOCDOC (A Doctor will visit from one of the practices within the building, not necessarily from St George’s).

How to request a Home Visit

To request a home visit please call 01242 501590 before 10:30.

A Doctor or Nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a Nurse, or  arrange a Hospital Attendance.

Who is eligible for a Home Visit

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
