Who is this booster for?

The Covid boosters are for patients who are 75 years young and immunosuppressed. If you are entitled to have this vaccine you will be contacted by either telephone call, email or text we will not be sending any letters.

How to book your Covid booster.

Please read the text messages that you have been sent before you contact the surgery, we have been contacted by at least 80 patients before this went live. All the information you need to know is available within the text message, please help us to manage this and provide a reliable service for others trying to get through to book other appointments)

You will be sent a link to enable you to book your appointment electronically. We also will be opening a dedicated telephone line on Tuesday , Wednesday and Thursdays only. You will be offered a new option 4 when you phone the appointment number, choose the Covid/flu vaccination option 4 between the specified times only.

This will be opened from 12 noon until 2pm and we respectively ask that you only phone to book your Covid booster during these times. We are working very hard to ensure accessibility is available for all patients, we have assigned additional staff to work during the lunch period on the Covid telephone appointment line to help during this busy time.

When

These vaccines are being administered at St Georges Surgery on Saturday 27th April from 8.30-12.45 (not the fire station) we have arranged a Saturday clinic to prevent disruption to weekday appointments. Parking will be available as usual, with the same 90 minute restrictions. Please wear suitable clothing, after your vaccine we will ask you to sit in your car if this option is available to reduce the numbers in surgery, others will be using seating in the corridors and exit the back door to help with the flow of patients. These clinics are for vaccinations only, we will not be available to book appointments or sort prescriptions.
